With its high refresh rate and G-Sync, it's great for 1080p gaming with an Nvidia graphics card. If you have an older GTX series and only use this monitor for gaming, this is perfect for that. The problem is that 30 series cards can run at higher resolutions and since this monitor only supports 1080p you won't be able to take advantage of that. 1080p is also difficult to use for reading, so it will most likely only be a gaming or video monitor. A few years ago that would have been a basic 5 stars, but with Nvidia's 40 series cards 1440p and 4k gaming will be a lot more common and now it makes sense to spend a little more and buy something higher resolution. like G7.
