I bought this monitor to replace my very old Samsung monitor that I have been using for over a decade. I was expecting the screen quality to be the same if not better. But to my disappointment, the image quality feels like it belongs on the cheapest monitor money can buy, or a monitor from the '90s. The default settings are terrible. The screen colors look too dark, but luckily I can change them using the monitor menu settings to make them look better. Embarrassing that this monitor is inferior to my ten year old monitor with better picture quality. I know $200 for a monitor is still entry-level, but it's like a $100 monitor that looks expensive on the outside to fool you. There are also FPS and ghosting issues. When I turn off FreeSync, ghosting occurs and the already poor image quality gets worse. But with FreeSync enabled, the ghosting goes away but my FPS goes down. This is definitely not a gaming monitor. What I like about him is his style. I love how sleek it looks and it definitely looks more modern than my old monitor. The screen is easy to adjust and can be tilted in different ways. I also like how I can at least change the screen settings because I'm not going to stick with the defaults in any way. My purchase on this monitor is unsatisfactory but not bad enough to return for a refund. Based on other reviews I've seen, this monitor probably won't last very long. My old Samsung monitor, the SyncMaster P2770, lasted an incredible 13 years until it recently had an accidental shutdown issue. I don't care if this monitor doesn't last as long because if it breaks I can buy a better monitor with better screen quality. Update: I've made the final decision that I want to return this monitor and get a refund because I can't get over how poor the screen quality is. I turned my old monitor back on and it immediately feels a lot better. Hopefully in the future I'll find a monitor that can perform much better.
