Avoid this product Linksys RE6350 - needs constant reset

My Linksys RE6350 arrived less than a week ago. The retail box and the device had no cosmetic defects. He looked new. Initial setup was easy and worked in both 2.4Gbps and 5.0Gbps extender modes for my NY Spectrum cable service. I immediately noticed that the wireless printer at the other end of my house can now print faster. That was the main reason we bought this Linksys power strip. Everything worked without problems until the end of the first day. The next morning, the Linksys RE6350 stopped working. It was still broadcasting 2 SSID extensions but they weren't connected to the main modem/router. In order for the RE6350 to work again, a hard reset had to be performed. My first call to Linksys Technical Support came after another crash after the first reset. The Linksys technician was very friendly, but the wait was long. The entire call lasted almost an hour and no attempt was made to read the RE6350 logs to find out why the connection was down. The call only worked through the basic setup and reset procedures found online or in the owner's manual. Another day passed and the RE6350 stopped working again. We've moved the device closer and closer to the main modem/router after repeated resets each time. The device has never worked for more than a day without losing connection to the main router. The second and third calls to technical support did not result in new error checking steps. Just another 2 hours wasted. Again, the staff were friendly and went out of their way to stick to the script. After four tech support calls, another tech support call informed me that Linksys could either replace the device they now believe is faulty, but I would have to pay for shipping. Save time trying to get this Linksys RE6350 power strip up and running.
