Good for circulation

I am using the Bio-Wheel filtration system and when the water is low it sounds like a fountain. I watched a few videos before using this sponge to make sure I was using it properly. The recommendation from the video is to add a bubble stone to the sponge to soften the bubbles. Feedback from other users was that if I didn't add a rock it would sound like a witch brewer; exactly, the bubbles are heavy and the sound is clear. When it comes to circulating and oxygenating the water, the sponge works well. However, I did a test by cleaning the tank and adding water. A sponge and a heel biofilter worked for me at the same time. The main job of the sponge was to circulate water and add oxygen. The Bio Wheel Filter did both. The sponge didn't clean the water; Bio wheel made. I ended up quitting the bio wheel just because it does both; purification and oxygenation. The sponge cleans a bit, but not as well and quickly as the Biorad. The only downside to bio wheels is that I have to keep the water level high to keep it calm. I'm not an aquarium expert and did a little research before using a sponge because I've never used one. The sponge is good and I would recommend it if you add new water to the tank frequently. For me, the Biorad works best because my aquarium is almost carefree.
