Description of Introducing the Premium Course Aquarium Sponge Filter: Extended Cleaning Intervals for 10-75 Gallon Tanks! Compare to ATI Pro or Aquarium Co-Op Filter

IMPROVED DESIGN Over Other Sponge Filters: Course / Porous Aquarium Sponge Filter - Designed For Less Clogging and Greater Intervals Between Cleaning! - See Pictures!. SIZING: One Unit Filters Aquariums 10-75 gallons. A sponge filter provides a vast area on which beneficial organisms can grow, this means that they help to keep your aquarium water extra clean and healthy once they are established. It has been noted in some studies that sponge is actually one of the best materials to use as bio-media, as it provides so much surface area for beneficial organisms to grow on. They also provide mechanical filtration which helps to keep your water crystal clear. EASY: Sponge Filters Are the Easiest Aquarium Filter To Use And Setup! - Sponge filters are powered by air, this works by using an air pump plugged into the sponge filter. As the air moves up through the filter it creates a small vacuum that pulls water through the sponge, much like how a syphon works. This means that all those bubbling air stones in your aquarium could be giving you the added benefit of being filters too and still provide some oxygenation to your water. BENEFITS: The sponge protects small fish and fry from being pulled into the filter The biological filtration works even with the loss of power; the nitrogen cycle continues as aquarium sponge filters keep good beneficial organisms Draws water from lower parts of the tank to increase water surface area and gas exchange of CO2 for O2 Using an existing aquarium sponge filter will speed up the cycling of a new tank by adding beneficial organisms. Air Tubing, air pump, and optional air stone not included.

Cheap Fake: Filter Accessory

Makes huge bubbles; Base does not include Airstone. Buyer Warning. Would not recommend this product. Small bubbles should form. Or customize. No hose included.

Pros
  • ADVANTAGES: Sponge prevents small fish and juvenile fish from being sucked into the filter Biological filtration works even when switched off; The nitrogen cycle continues as aquarium sponges keep good beneficial insects. Water intake from the bottom of the aquarium to increase the water surface and exchange CO₂ for O₂. Using an existing aquarium sponge filter will speed up the cycle of the new aquarium by adding beneficial insects.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Fantastic filter for fish and aquatic animals

I absolutely love this filter. I use in a 55 gallon tank. You can see an ivory cherry red shrimp. I use this filter because I don't have to worry about losing fry in it. Absolutely fantastic. My shrimp love it. They hide behind it all the time. And my corridors are constantly hiding underneath. I would recommend it to anyone involved in breeding. This is a great water filter. Very easy to clean. The attitude was great. Has a heavy butt. You have everything you need that goes with it. You need…

Pros
  • IMPROVED DESIGN compared to other sponge filters: porous aquarium sponge filter - designed for less clogging and longer intervals between cleaning! - See pictures!
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Good for circulation

I am using the Bio-Wheel filtration system and when the water is low it sounds like a fountain. I watched a few videos before using this sponge to make sure I was using it properly. The recommendation from the video is to add a bubble stone to the sponge to soften the bubbles. Feedback from other users was that if I didn't add a rock it would sound like a witch brewer; exactly, the bubbles are heavy and the sound is clear. When it comes to circulating and oxygenating the water, the sponge works

Pros
  • Air hose, air pump and optional air stone not included.
Cons
  • Useless functions
