These are amazingly impossible to screw into the backings! My roommate and I worked for a hour each (I swear it was) to get them to screw in. The screw grooves on the post scraped up my ear canal with all the fighting with the backings and I ended up with some kind of cut that had goo coming out for a few days. I cleaned it up and now that its healed - so far so good. The earrings DO make me look fancy, even when I'm slumming it - so they aren't bad looking. Just a pain in the ass to put in. If you are someone that likes to switch earrings every day to match your outfit: I would NOT recommend this set.
