If I could give those 4.5 stars I would, but they're not exactly perfect. However, this is definitely the best I've ever had. I like the serrated base which makes turning nuts and bolts with your fingers much easier. The flat surfaces in the hub heads are only twice the thickness of most nuts and bolt heads, so there's no risk of losing a nut or bolt all the way to the bottom of the hub. The flats are also machined so that nuts and bolts are gripped on the flat sides rather than the corners, eliminating rounding. The walls are nice and sturdy, but still thin enough to fit into tight spaces. Large sockets (9mm+) are offset at the base for easier removal from the ratchet. I like that the size markings are on 2 sides of each plug, making it easy to find the right one. And they are actually stamped, not "lasered" or printed. I have a lot of so-called "laser" tips that have worn out the size markings. The size selection is perfect and leaves no size from 4mm to 15mm. The storage rail is made of durable plastic and the clips are easy to replace. So why not get the perfect 5 stars? The size indication is faded and difficult to read. I have some old budget Mastercraft heads that I bought from Canadian Tire over two decades ago with much deeper and clearer stamps. Heck, even the Gearwrench name on each head is stamped more prominently than the size. It seems strange to save on it. Also, the clips on the storage rail can easily slip off by themselves from one end. There's a small plastic holder in there that should prevent this, but it's molded too far to actually do the job. So if you hold the rail at the wrong end, a few sockets could slip and fall to the ground. Ask me how I know that. Again, it seems odd to go wrong when just about everything else about these outlets is so perfect. For the price, nothing beats these sockets. The functions are useful and well thought out. I may not have noticed the poor placement of the clip clasp on the storage track, but it seems to me that the sizing could be improved at absolutely no cost. This would make them a perfect 5 stars. I highly recommend them as they are.
