It sucks and sucks! You have to be very aggressive to remove the red backing from the tape - distort the tape several times until the tiny edge is free. If you then cut it, it will stick to the scissors for life! (both sides) And don't let it touch you or you'll have to start over because it's a gel and you can't try to peel it off! It just pulls in and won't let go. I used to use double-sided tape in class and at home. That red thing is NOT what you need. Find 3M 4032 Double Sided Polyurethane Tape instead! This is your friend and he won't let you say words you don't want your kids to hear! :) Update: A little later I picked up a small bathroom rug that I had put this tape on - it ripped off the backing of the rug. I had to use a knife to remove the tape from the tile floor. Won't be using this again.
