Review on πŸš— Husky Liners 98971 Toyota RAV4 Weatherbeater Front & 2nd Seat Floor Mats, Black (Fits 2013-2018) by Douglas First

Revainrating 5 out of 5

WOW! 2014 Rav4 XLE on Interior

I was a true WeatherTech fan when I first bought a certified pre-owned 2011 Rav4 with a third row seat. When I bought a new Rav in 2014, the first thing I knew was to buy WeatherTech floor mats. To my disappointment, Revain's ratings have steadily dropped from 5 stars to 1 star due to issues with the mats and the way customer service has, or rather has not, dealt with it. So when I searched the web for some more earbuds, I found Husky earbuds with very good reviews. Back in 2012 when I bought my WeatherTech, Husky was just starting out making these digital jetliners. To be honest I was nervous about buying these because they were new to their production and all the reviews for WeatherTech were 100% positive. Two years later, WeatherTech doesn't seem to listen to what customers want from their liners and they don't support their products when they have problems, which is why I chose these Husky liners. First let me say that the image doesn't exactly look like what is shown above. In the picture they look rubbery and smooth, but they really aren't. They are a durable, matte, non-shiny material that looks great. The earbuds fit 100x better than my WeatherTech in my 2011. It seems someone at Husky read the reviews on WeatherTech's (WT) Revain page and based on customer feedback came up with a better liner than the WT. I can't say enough good things about these liners. The rear liner is made of the same material as the front liner, unlike WT who made a sort of mid-length liner in the second row out of slippery rubber. By the way, I returned my WT liner in the second row because it wasn't $65. The rear/second row interior is just as nice and strong as the front upholstery. There is no difference in their quality, unlike WT. The digital insert on the driver's side is awesome. For those of you who have had a WT in the past, the edge of the WT buckled on the driver's side door due to accidentally dragging the left foot into the RAV. This left a small area free on the driver's side floor panel. Husky learned from this mistake and made sure it didn't happen to his liners by creating a larger ledge that runs over the door. I will take and post photos to show you. The second issue with the WT that the Husky benefited from was the footrest. There is a footrest on the left side of the driver's floor where you can rest your left foot. Well, the WT liner only goes halfway to the footrest. Why? Well the Husky floor liner extends to the footrest and the entire floor liner rises much higher than the WT liner to really protect the entire floor panel. I actually complained a few times during installation because the digital floor mat on the driver's side was so narrow that I had a hard time turning the mat lock, which prevents the mat from slipping. I finally got the locks installed and the pads look AMAZING in my car! Yes, these rugs are EXPENSIVE, but keeping the floor clean and stain-free provides good resale value. I live in Florida so rain is basically all I have to worry about but even with that said there are accidents, coffee spills, soda drips, baby vomit etc. They've spent tens of thousands on a car, spent $150 and protect your car floors. .with husky liners!
