They don't work at all. I received my LG fridge a few weeks ago and the water tasted bad so I figured buying a different brand filter would solve the problem. I chose this one. The water still has an unpleasant taste - it has a very chemical taste. I've had other fridges - Samsung and Kitchen Aid - the water taste was amazing in both fridges. remove this kind of taste; and I don't know why it isn't. I will say that LG has a very high water flow rate - it's a fast and hard flow. and I'm wondering if this reduces the filter's ability to work. Unfortunately there is no way to test this without having an alternative fridge and using this filter. fridge (with this filter) and pour it into a jug for life - if I do that the water tastes great but doesn't that defeat the purpose of purifying water from the fridge? I will try other filters in the future and plan to bring back the rest that was included in this pack.
