Actually the ski rack is a decent run and works great. We were able to mount 6 skis on it. However, the hardware that comes with the rack is cheap and versatile. One of the seals broke when the box was opened. The brackets are cheap hard plastic, as are the gaskets. The screws are very long so one size fits all, but they were too long for my roof rack. If you are buying this rack knowing you will need to replace or repair the hardware then this is a good buy. You can order other hardware or go to a hardware store and buy other screws and gaskets. I think if the plastic spacers were rubber instead of hard plastic it would make a big difference. The lock works well but you can only remove the keys when it is in the locked position. It's okay, but it's quite difficult to switch between unlocking and locking.
