I think it's my fault for not looking through the questions section. These shelves are narrow, 16.75 inches. I was going to use them for a VCR (17") and a cable box. (17.25"). I've never seen a 19" shelving rack that was smaller than 18", so I figured it wouldn't be a problem Trying to fit my stuff on every shelf I bought. Initially they sent me the wrong shelf. The ones I received were also center mountable but also had ears folded in so they could only be center mounted. a product that doesn't use the full width of the shelf but as I said it's my fault for not reading the questions section however it needs to be in the product description otherwise good shelves the VCR was squeezed in which the cable box not.
