Could use better instructions

It's partially rubberized for better grip. The color display is bright, the characters are large. The fact that the sensor can point towards you or away from you is a good thing. When you take a selfie, you want it to be facing you. The size is good even for people with big hands. For me the actual light levels that can be displayed in lumens or foot candles are not as important as consistency. I have tested it and there are really very stable readings. The protective cap of the sensor is tied with a strong rope/string. You can remove the cable from the cover, but then it dangles. I don't see a way to remove the cable without breaking it. I mention this because this leash is nothing but an obstacle to me. For the same reason, I never attach lens caps to my camera. I just put the cap in my pocket. The best thing would be the velcro on the cover so you can attach it to the back of the sensor. I can do it myself. I'm not deducting a star for the hat. One star deducted for the instructions. I can use this without instructions as I don't use all the features. But if I knew how to use special features, the product would be more useful and valuable for me. The instructions talk briefly about what the buttons do, but that's not enough. They don't tell you how to use the features - what they're good for. You just say something like "this button does that". Now what is "it" and how can I use it? Instructions should be written for everyone, not just advanced users. Otherwise, this is a good product and a very useful thing. I mainly shoot videos. My cameras adjust to different lighting conditions, but when I need the best consistency I use this light meter and adjust (increase/decrease) the lighting to get consistent results.
