Well, I'm a baker in the country. One of our bestsellers is the Royal Cookie with powdered sugar. As most bakers know, these cookies take several days to bake due to the drying time. They bake day 1. Flooded day 2. Decorate day 3 and wrap day 4. No room for last minute orders. I found out through a friend that you can speed up the drying process with a dehydrator. One of the more expensive ones wasn't in the budget. So I decided I would give it a try. I received my last order for Pride Cookies the same day I ordered. With dry on the lowest setting I was able to dry the filling in a couple of hours and then decorate and dry in a couple of hours. Essentially, it allows you to cut the 4 day process down to a day or two. It also gave the cookies a glossy sheen rather than a matte finish. I am very happy.
