It works, but it takes a little time to install.
The only problem I have is that the depth you need to bury the wire depends on your garden. First time I buried it too deep and my dog seemed to notice the discharge but that didn't stop him from crossing the lawnmower line but shallow enough that my dog now stays quite a distance from the flags.
