Powerful coil upon coils

Powerful 12 volt ignition coil. While testing the setup, I unplugged the high voltage wire and saw a 3 inch spark coming out of the top connector where the wire should have gone. I am convinced that a spark plug gap of 0.025 will ignite under all conditions. I use this in conjunction with Pertronics Ignitor II.
