This is a wooden stand that is well balanced so my bird can sit and watch me work without running around the room and digging into things. He really seems to like it. It's made of nice wood and he has no trouble holding it even though he's only three months old so he's still getting used to things. I use a bird diaper so he doesn't poop on him or anything so I can't clean him. But I suppose it will work just fine for washing it. The screw that goes into the post from the bottom is slightly raised so it wobbles a bit and doesn't quite seat. Wow, but that wasn't a problem.
