It's great IF you can wrap it all the way around your dog's paws. I've only managed this once, after 45 minutes of work, and I have a patient, cooperative dog. Once you've fully inserted your foot, it just needs to slide down a little (then you'll have to start all over again or it won't fit properly). After that (and they can slip off easily) you should try to wrap the inner flap smoothly, fasten the main velcro tightly and then wrap 2 very long outer velcro straps (which are constantly in the way during the first 3 steps) around the ankles. They appear to be on, but if they aren't put on perfectly they will slip off during use and you'll be lucky if they don't slip off completely. I will determine what length is required for my dog's ankles and trim the excess on the two outer Velcro straps so they don't get in the way when putting them on and trim the inner flap a bit to help. We have ice storms, so I'm determined to find an easier way to use them. They are very well constructed to protect paws with excellent grip. When I fully dressed her I thought she liked her and she looked like a little horse when she ran. Funny sound!
