Most of these locks have formed wire. It remembers its shape for easy installation where you hide it. Use it at its full length and the curls will be a pain in the ass. No company ever thinks that this is important information for the buyer. Please let me know the wire type. I have the exact same one from another company that is almost worn out and yes I have to wrap it to store it but for the same length of wire it goes through the spokes and even around the telephone pole and back to the lock. It's with bizarre versions and it's always a struggle. I take an extra 10 seconds to wrap it up and put it in my pocket. In addition, the cable is made of high-tech tuff. Only smaller, and the 4-digit combination lock can be easily changed to your numbers. And the lock seems harder than average. I bought this as a backup lock and would have liked a straight cable model and I think manufacturers should be aware of that.
