The food slicer is well built, at least for my home use. I will use it weekly for slicing cooked meat. I've used it twice and it worked very well. He is handsome and calm and seems to have a lot of energy. I want to make very thin slices and this helps. Some people find that cleaning is a hassle. I took it apart both times when I used it to clean. It took about 20 minutes to disassemble, clean and assemble. It may have taken longer the first time as the screws holding the blade are very tight from the factory. Be careful when removing them for the first time to avoid blowing their heads off. I reinstalled them a little looser and it made it easier to remove the blade next time. I intend to take apart and clean the food slicer every time I use it as I want to make sure to remove any hidden food that should have been cleaned somewhere. My understanding is that cleaning is part of cooking and I will not skip a thorough cleaning after each use. I am satisfied with the purchase and recommend this product.
