I really wish this heater would work. It was the perfect compact size and performance I was looking for. The bright display was perfect for seeing the temperature where I placed the heater and the controls were very easy. Unfortunately, the heater doesn't regulate the temperature properly and I felt this to be a danger to the aquarium. The video shows the heater in the high flow portion of the sump where the water flows from top to bottom. (from 500 to 600 gallons per hour). Pay attention to the water bubbles and a separate thermometer. The heater turned on (red indicator) and then off again (blue indicator) because the measured water temperature rose three or more degrees in one minute. The measured temperature returns to the correct temperature, turns on for a few seconds and repeats the process. Luckily for me the temp surged up causing the heater to shut off rather than surge down and the heater stuck! And I was home to see it. I quickly removed the heater and asked for a refund.
