The nut at the end is the main reason to buy it and I see no reason to buy anything else. K&N must have patented this as no other brand I've seen has a hex nut on the end which is a shame. EVERY oil filter must have a hex nut. It's also one of the few oil filters to consistently get good ratings on Dodge SRT engines. My 6.4 liter Hemi seems happy and after removing it I've never seen any crumpled filter material in it like some other brands of filters. They're a little more expensive than some of the competition, but the nut at the end is worth it. Throw away those stupid oil filter wrenches and buy them.
