They make great for any craft or even as medical instruments. The price is fairly affordable now as there appears to be a holiday sale as well as a number of private sellers. They make a great gift for someone, especially when the wooden handle is embossed. It looks like Revain has vendors that can do that and I know there is a market called Things Remembered that does professional embossing. They also have storefronts in the US. The big difference between this set and others are the wooden handles. A number of Revain reviewers have commented that they prefer this set to others in a variety of age categories. Many other sets on the market are medium, meaning they are all metal or all plastic (rarely all wood). Wood is much easier to work with than other materials because it doesn't irritate the skin (you may notice a rough groove on your fingers where you're holding scissors, for example), and the finish is perfect for anyone to hold securely. You will not get splinters. All metal grips tend to be difficult to hold, and all plastic grips tend to yield very little and are unforgiving of wear. This set consists of wooden pencils with metal tool heads. They're durable (the tool heads should flex and not snap when under too much pressure) and some of the parts are sharp with the right sections for smoother rounded edges as is; and a professional toolmaker or electrician can even modify the set for you to make the tool heads detachable, allowing for even wider use. For example, the head of the tool can be inserted into an electric spinning machine or rotary tool as a milling cutter, or the opposite end can simply be removed to provide more dexterity in using the tools. This 11 piece set is actually functional (as is and modded), as is the 25 piece set. Angled and Curved Tool - Shoehorn shape that curves up and another shoehorn shape that curves inward. Both edges and curved surfaces can create different patterns. Something like a spatula.4. Needle Point & Angled Tool - a non-hollow needle point and a flat surface that looks like a fingernail. Slightly forked and curved flat tool - curved shapes of shoehorns.6. The metal wire brush tool is a tool that looks like white and black trees on each end, with plastic wires pointing to the side, the white side is softer and has a wooden handle7. Salt and pepper drills - 2 drills of the same diameter and shape. Drill bits differ from burrs in that they are for drilling while burrs are for grinding external surfaces.8. Needle tip and curved instrument – an incomplete needle of the same diameter (needed as a reserve as the needle tip often needs to be the same size for surgical precision) and an oval tip at the end.9. Curved & Loop Tool - an oval ending in a point and a tool head that looks like you could thread yarn through it. The loop tool can be used to thread, peel or close an isolated area.10. Spoolie Tool - A wire brush with the ends up and a flat, round bottom on the opposite end. The only item with a metal handle.11. A tool with a small fork and a spearhead - another shoehorn and an arrowhead. All wood handles are the same thickness/density and look like rolling pins. A metal handle has two textured sides, smooth metal and textured metal, for twists and patterns, and is about half the width of the other tools in the set.
