I bought a couple of lighter tripods in the $40-$60 price range for daily outdoor blogging and eventually they were showing all the signs of wear and tear, lost parts etc. So I decided to get into this one Slightly more expensive but more powerful tripod to invest in tripod and I love it. You'll immediately feel its power - it doesn't wobble when panning and the cameras fit snugly against your head. The leg and head systems are completely different than lighter tripods and take some getting used to. It's also a bit heavier than the cheaper versions, so I don't want to take it with me on longer hikes. It's not too uncomfortable for shorter hikes though and you'll love the stability once you get there. Also, I have a feeling it will last for years, not months like the lighter versions. Just over $100, good deal!
