You should have a tank at the bottom where you want the ice to be clear so the water at the top freezes first (which makes it clear). This product is great for that! I've had it for about a month now and I get clean ice every time and it's been one of the most economical I've seen. One piece of advice I would recommend is not to leave the tray on for too long. In my experience, leaving the tray after more than 24 hours only makes it harder to empty (many factors contributing, I'm sure). I would also recommend that the shape of the ice matches the glass. Round ice cream for round glasses, square ice cream for square glasses. This seems to have the most desirable effect of almost not seeing the ice at all.
