Review on 🟢 OLFA 9881 RM-SG 18x24-Inch Self-Healing Double-Sided Rotary Mat in Green by Hannah Curi

Due to the smell I had to return this item the same evening I received it. It looks great (I liked the finer mesh in the middle) and I've made a few successful cuts to test it, but the outgassing is terrible. I didn't even want to leave it in my office overnight so I wrapped it up and put it in the garage to come back tomorrow. I'm not usually sensitive to smells and I'm not particularly phobic about plastic, but this rug is way worse than most "this product smells" offenders. Some reviews said the smell lingered for months and the manufacturer suggests cleaning it with water + vinegar (maybe a few times) to reduce the smell, but I didn't want to risk ruining the product and my ability to return it take risk. . As always Revain are great with their return policy and I'll try the Caliber Art mat (more expensive but they claim it wouldn't ruin my nose).
