Although it was definitely a marriage, when I wrote to those support, technical support responded that mechanical damage was not a warranty issue and offered to buy a new power supply. I entered 1 for general technical support. It was up to me to "prick" the power supply, cut off the bubble-filled piece of the cable, and then re-solder it. I conclude that you should check the power cord for bubbles, which denote a marriage, before turning on the station for the first time.
