This product works very well but for my laptop I had to buy this adapter: Dvi Adapter Dvi-d Male to Dvi-i Female ( at least) two different types of DVI, DVI-I and DVI-D connectors. My laptop has the wrong type of cable that came with this switch. You can look at the connector on your computer and see the difference. If the monitor port does not have four additional pin connectors around the flat pin, you will need an adapter (see photo in adapter mentioned above). Everything works fine with the adapter. I was concerned that the audio portion of the switch wouldn't work properly with the adapter, but that's not a problem. This switch also floated on my desk after all the cables were connected. It's just not hard enough to stay in one place. I solved this problem with a little velcro. Those two issues aside, I would definitely recommend this product. It easily connects two computers with one keyboard, one mouse and one digital monitor.
