Very nice, strong, perfect for my cup holder but of course yours probably won't be the same size as mine. A very tight seal will become easier to open for disposal over time, but has not loosened at all. Much nicer than plastic containers. However, the ring of light doesn't illuminate everything around it. It's ok for me, but don't expect it to happen. The color comes from the painted surface that is pushed over the LED bulb. It changes color, looks good, and is easy to see at night, which was the main reason I bought a lighted ashtray, but it's not going to give off a bright, mysterious glow all around. I think it will interfere with driving anyway. I mostly drive at night and park the car during the day, so I don't always get charged just for having it in the car. I put it outside to get morning sun on dry days and I can do the same by putting it by a window in winter. It really doesn't bother. The charge seems to be enough for three days. Even without the LED, when not charging, the ring will catch the street lights and help make the shell visible. All in all worth the steep price.
