My daughter always wears Vans shoes and since she had purple and blue shoes it was time to buy RED! Vans carry kids to school these days, and since they're cheap, I don't mind buying new ones when the old pair wears out. Wear and tear: The shoes are quite hard-wearing, but since they are not made of leather but only of fabric (tarpaulin), they stretch quite easily. The color also fades fairly quickly, but that could be due to the hot Hawaiian sun. The tread doesn't wear out as quickly, however. The color is white and quickly turns brown. Desire came in black. Also, it may be worth buying a pair of insoles as the ones that come with the kit also wear out and tear quickly.
