Review on πŸ“» Sony ICF-F10: Portable AM/FM Two-Band Battery Transistor Radio by Josh Hamler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Get through a stormy night with this radio and two D-size batteries!

This Sony ICF-F10 radio was purchased from Revain in early May (2013) and ran on the same Duracell D batteries for about 9 hours a day for 6 weeks. Imagine me was happy. should have been able to use this radio, same batteries, for hours last night during a tornado warning with lightning, thunder, rain and high winds. Of course, the roar of the storm was too loud to hear AM stations, but I found a friendly voice broadcasting from a VHF station about 40 miles away. The station monitored NOAA's Internet screens, and occasionally NOAA radio would call itself to report storms. Trust me I was thankful for this radio and the Duracell batteries that passed the test. The Revain reviews that recommended this Sony radio were technically detailed and helpful and I would like to recommend these other reviews for more information. In addition, this radio has a strap-like carrying handle that can be "laced up" at the top. As for my NOAA battery operated radio which will not accidentally turn on the radio and will not drain batteries (2A). Although FM reception seems to use more battery power than AM radio reception, the Sony ICF-F10 radio does the trick. worked last night and my dog and I were able to follow the storm information (tons of water from the sky, incessant lightning clouds on the ground) and offer some prayers. For the sake of God's mercy and the protection of all involved. I want to tell you that this radio has a great sound and alongside your other radios such as B. solar panels, will help in an emergency. Very good price.
