There are basically two ways to take your phone with you on a bike and make it available. Either a handlebar mount that grips your phone with thick rubber bands or mechanical levers. handlebar bags. I started out with different grips and would often look at the mount and wonder if my Otterbox Defender case would protect the phone if the mount ever failed and the phone flew into the mud. Because of this, I bought a few packs to test. AUTOWT is the larger of the two I bought and I think they are better. This is based on two factors.1. The size. I like the large storage pocket and 2. The touchscreen is a bit more sensitive. The photos aren't clear, but the phone is paired with overlapping pieces of fabric like book covers, hinged at the edges and fastened together with Velcro in the middle. So you don't have to worry about putting your phone in your pocket. You simply undo the pieces of fabric, open them up, press the phone firmly against the clear plastic cover, and the Velcro closes. After signing in, the phone is secure and you can use the touchscreen features, including fingerprint ID on iPhone. The straps that attach the bag to the bike are a little tricky in the sense that you have to put them on and then adjust them until you have the phone snug AND in a position where you can see the thing. It will take a few minutes to get it right. But I think the security offered by such a bag is probably worth the effort compared to the mount that if it fails. Your phone turns into Peter Pan. All phones, whether in cases or handy mounts, have moments when sunlight makes it impossible to see the screen. The little visor works for certain sun angles, but there are plenty of others that will require you to turn your head to see what the heck is up. But not only for this model. The bag looks pretty waterproof. I'm sure heavy rain can still get in, but unless you're using a zipped bag I'm not 100% sure a cloth bag will be the exception. When purchasing, my main concern was the touchscreen capabilities, and this wasn't an issue for me. There were plenty of them in the $20 range when I bought it, and I chose two. This one is now in his teens. I think that's a good deal if you want water protection and a more secure system for your phone.
