I think that's fine for phone calls. My main goal was to let the directions app guide me through an unfamiliar city but have that voice ringing in my ears. One problem: In the long pauses between spoken instructions, the "audio" seems to "fall asleep" because when the spoken instructions are repeated, the first half-dozen words are lost. Without a headset, the audio through the speakers works fine, but in a busy city I can hear directions if I hold the phone to my ear, but I wanted to avoid using a headset.
