After flushing for a good 5 minutes I placed it in my 29 gallon tank. After about a week I noticed that the water was turning brownish like leaves and buds do. I took the bag out of the tank and found that all kinds of brown water came out of the filter media. I thought it was supposed to help clear the "black water", don't add! :( I threw this expensive stuff (if you have multiple tanks) in the trash. Try it yourself. Put one of these (Elite) in a bowl after it's been in your tank for a week. See if the brown water gets in. Interesting, this only happens to the elite?
