What happened? My Bio 14 water if solid black

I rinsed the bag thoroughly and the water was clear and balanced for the first week. In the second week the corals started to turn gray. Third week, solid black water, solid black coral. my fish are alive What happened?

ELITE PURE! in Fish & Aquatic Pets

Two days later my fish were dancing around the tank and acting like wild fish. In other words, this incredible piece of technology is the BEST thing you can do for your fish! Well, one of the best things. Many thanks to Chemipure and Revain for the freshness and quality of this product.

Pros
  • This is Amazing

Clean Water at Fish & Aquatic Pets

So I have a biocube with a nano aquarium, generally the nano aquarium needs special products to make it work smoothly and I think I should use Chemi Pure and in the case of the nano reef- reservoirs. This is the best activated carbon filter and after using it I can see that the water is much cleaner than before. Also there was no more bad smell in the tank, I think the product does its job. Corals and fish thrive and what more could a nano aquarium owner ask for at this price πŸ˜€

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Good but not great

I forgot how much I loved this stuff

When I first started reef farming it was all in one, a combination of GFO and carbon. Ideal for removing phosphates and maintaining crystal clear water. When my phosphates got too high while my nitrates were low, I started seeing dinosaurs. I had to do a bit of work, pumping out everything I could and doing big water changes. But you can see the tank is clean now, there are no more dinosaurs. I think it works better than blue Chemipure.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Elimination of red slime algae

There was a problem of red slime in a very simple 40 g live marine aquarium fish. It only has a small canister filter and power head for circulation. The red goo got out of control quickly so I injected RedSea Red Goo Remover first. Everything is fine, I removed some but not all of the slime. So I added a bag of that to the canister. After about 9 days all the red mucus was gone. There was no trace of him anywhere.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Protection

brown water! on fish and aquatic animals

After flushing for a good 5 minutes I placed it in my 29 gallon tank. After about a week I noticed that the water was turning brownish like leaves and buds do. I took the bag out of the tank and found that all kinds of brown water came out of the filter media. I thought it was supposed to help clear the "black water", don't add! :( I threw this expensive stuff (if you have multiple tanks) in the trash. Try it yourself. Put one of these (Elite) in a bowl after it's been in your tank for a week…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Negative present

Great product for a crystal clear, algae free aquarium

I have three 5 gallon tanks. My first purchase was a single 3.1 ounce Nanotank. At 3.1 oz, I still used more product than necessary. Took me a minute but 6.5 ounces cost the same as 3.1 ounces. So now I take 6.5 ounces, cut the bag open, measure the loose Chemi Pure Elite into thirds and put them in mesh bags. At my rough estimate, just over 2 ounces of Chemi Pure Elite will still do for each of my five gallons. I really love this product. My tanks are cleaner than ever, the algae problem I had

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Nothing here

. just over a year and it worked great for me

I've been using this product in my Biocube 14 for a little over a year and it's working great for me. I put it in the second compartment of my Biocube 14 filter, I don't have a media basket or anything like that. I use these together with live rock, purigen and filter thread in the second compartment of my Biocube. I change every 5 months. I have to say that I'm not 100% sure if this is the reason for my little Biocube's success, but I have to admit that my aquarium stays very clean. I haven't…

Pros
  • easy to use
Cons
  • quick start guide
