This is my very first plasma cutter and I was a bit nervous installing it straight away not knowing what to expect. I've noticed that if I'm not the only one, when you're cutting metal and you're moving relatively slowly, like with an acetylene oxy-torch, you hear popping noises, and that's not good, but when you accelerate and stop constant, it does cuts through metal finely and looks a lot better than if I were to use an acetylene oxy-torch because it cuts through metal fairly cleanly. Overall I'm impressed because I really thought it was going to be a piece of junk but I was glad I was wrong. I paid less than $200 for this plasma cutter and the only problem is I didn't buy it sooner. It takes a little getting used to if you are new to plasma cutting, but once you've done it I don't think you'll ever go back to an acetylene oxy-torch if you can.
