This has to be the best little tool I have ever bought the only worst thing I hate is that I have never bought it before it worked with everything what I wanted to cut Someone with a negative remark, remember that you bought a small cutter. So if you want to cut half an inch thick steel, buy a bigger one, this does a great job for the money.

Completely surprised. It works out. Cutting 1/4 inch thick steel works best on thinner stock. I have it on a titanium cored wire carriage 125. I even use a generator. For food. Well, unfortunately, after running the compressed air line to the welding shop, the entire installation, including eliminating air leaks inside the unit itself, this plasma cutter did not cut through sheet metal 1 thick /16 in. It took me a while to get to the install so the item return window has expired. I think it's a fancy paperweight now, unless someone has some useful advice for me.

Works well over rated thickness for ugly cuts. Old-school burnt welds in the cavity between two Schedule 80 pipes weren't as clean as oxy-fuel, but did the job. After watching a YouTube video about this machine I decided to give it a try. To be honest, I didn't expect much for the money. Let me tell you, the video is online! For the money I was more than thrilled! Cut through steel 1/4 inch like butter. I was on the 220 volt side but only on 40 amps. For another experiment, I put 2 1/4" pieces together.
