Review on Efficient Cleaning with the Hoover Commercial C1660 900 Bagless Upright by Jason Wesley

not worth the money

I bought this vacuum cleaner to work around my apartment building. I have about 250 feet of hallway to clear. The only thing I like about it is that I can add another extension if I need a longer cable. When I first used the vacuum cleaner, it was just clogged with dust. There's no easy way to clean it other than loosening about 12 screws on the back to fully detach the hose. If I don't empty the dust bag every 25-30 feet it loses suction. It tends to eject dirt as the brushes rotate rather than collecting it in the vacuum. So you have to go over the spots a few times to pick up the dirt, this is on a low profile carpet. It doesn't have a lip on the edge of the roller like some other vacuums I've had before, so you have to use a long reach nozzle all the time. Now, for the second time using the vacuum cleaner, the belt broke. To do this you need to remove the cover and then the bottom panel with about 10 screws. There are no easy flip locks and the panel comes off like other vacuums I've had. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for what I paid for it. I've had other vacuums that I liked but not this one.
