Review on UGREEN USB 3.0 Hub with 3 Ports, External Stereo Audio Adapter 2-in-1 – Headphone & Microphone 3.5mm, High Speed 5Gbps for Mac OS Windows Linux, iMac MacBook Mac Mini PCs Tablets by Matthew Baltimore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect iOS solution when paired with the Apple MK0W2AM/A Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter.

I have a USB-only MIDI keyboard, not a DIN 5, and I couldn't find an audio interface for MIDI that I could use with iOS devices that don't have a headphone jack. Also, my iPad's headphone jack broke, and the 'cure' is a new motherboard. Someone recommended this on the iPad Musician Facebook page. 17 dollars. Of course why not? The only audio/MIdi interface I found with MIDI/USB was $499 - hooray! Anyway, paired with MK0W2AM/A in my iPhone 7 is perfect. Near-zero latency right out of the box (zero latency isn't possible, but it's so fast you can't hear it). The iPhone currently supports USB 2 speed, but my 12.9 inch iPad Pro supports USB 3 speed (with the correct Apple CCK), so this is perfect. Battery consumption is minimal, like my Line6 mobile keys 49. Rehearsal or concert. Since the UGREEN hub is bus-powered and the MK0W2AM/A allows charging via the Lightning connector, I probably won't test the UGREEN's USB power delivery. I assume it can't charge my iOS devices, but that's already covered by USB 3. Apple CCK. Battery consumption is minimal, like my Line6 mobile keys 49. Rehearsal or concert.
