I used a professional mic with a 10ft cable with a TRS connector, as I was working to consolidate usable desk space I ordered a smaller mic that took up a small fraction of the space (eg .the size of a marble compared to the size of a ball). This adapter does not work well with my MacBook Pro. Although the sound card works with below-average sound quality, USB hubs are not compatible with Apple products.
