Review on BD Diesel 1032004 Steering Stabilzer by Auden Paz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent fit, tightens the steering wheel; Ground clearance could be better

Great set and fits great. My application, 2nd generation Cummins Ram 2500 4x4 standard height. I used a jack and a 2x4 foot long to get the stock sway bar back in place and a ratchet strap to put the sway bar back in place, line up all the holes and hand tighten the bolts. If you work alone, I found the best option. The sequence is to remove all 4 stabilizer bar frame mounting bolts and support the stabilizer bar with a jack and 2x4. Now it's time to replace the bushings if they are broken. Then remove the bipod nut. Slide the bare steering bracket into place and raise the jack to clamp the bracket under the stabilizer bar mounts. Then use the ratchet strap to pull the bar into place. Then add a new nut to the steering gear included in the kit. A very deep 1 1/4 inch socket or crescent wrench can fit between the box and plate to tighten the nut. Then add the main bearing and fix it with screws; Tighten and lubricate the set screws. helps tie the front of the frame together but hangs lower than anything else from the factory front clamp. No problem, it will likely become part of the skid plate underneath.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • So-so
