Okay guys, listen up! Yes, there are design flaws. But they are very, very easy to fix. Read on to find out how to solve problems with this amazing time-saving tool! The issues mentioned in other reviews are correct. The design is such that problems are inevitable.1. The outer diameter cup is detached from the shaft. If plastic is attached to metal in a tool that is used specifically for torsional loads, it will eventually break (obviously I wish things were still metal!). It is possible to accelerate this rupture by using a percussion tool, working at too high a speed, or pushing the cup too deep into the pipe. Even if this is not done, the plastic will eventually break at the junction with the metal rod.2. The marking brush slips out of the holder. This only happens when the tool is used in a clockwise direction. This is because the helical wire that forms the shaft housing rotates counter-clockwise. Troubleshooting: 1. Place a cable tie around the thinnest part of the plastic where it attaches to the metal rod. You could probably encapsulate this in some JB Weld as well if you really wanted to overdo it. Make sure you use a low speed on your drill/driver. Consider not using an impact wrench. And DO NOT push the pipe down too far - you only need to polish 1/2 to 3/4 inch.2. Set the drill/screwdriver to rotate counter-clockwise (left free play). That's all! Simply run the drill backwards when using the ID brush. Don't let the design flaws of this great tool stop you from buying one. If you've made it this far, you're already someone who can easily overcome challenges. Just make sure you buy a tiny hose clamp at the same time (NOT a spring clamp, you need a worm gear).
