Yes you need! - Kitchen Utensils

It seems to me that cooking with minced meat has always scared me. I'm the mom who forgets to thaw it overnight. I'm the kind of mom who pulls meat out of the freezer an hour before dinner or throws it in the microwave to defrost. But anyone who cooks like this knows that it's still frozen inside and baked unevenly around the edges. When we put it in the pan, we spend countless minutes scraping the cooked meat from one side, flipping the meat, scraping the cooked meat, repeating a thousand times. Then wrestle and pierce the long strips of meat in the pan to try to cook them evenly and get good textureโ€”a losing battle. Let me tell you about this simple tool and how it changed me. As a chef, I can now cut meat. Yes, it still needs a little cooking, turning, dancing on one side; but now it cuts so much time out of the equation. Those little strips of unwieldy meat are now history, and I get perfectly, evenly cooked ground beef every time! It changed my attitude towards cooking ground beef. Now I cook ground beef two to three times more often. This is no longer a daunting task that will take an hour. I'm a cast iron mom so my only wish is for it to be metal. So far, the mincer has had no problems with melting or warping. I can cut meat easily and clean the sides well so I don't even need a spatula to cook, but I use my serving spoon when it's time to eat. It washes very well and is dishwasher safe. He's also very pretty to look at, so he lives on my counter for all to see. Love it - it's one of those kitchen essentials that I'll always have on hand from now on.
