This collar is amazing. I was concerned because my dog is 15# (recommended minimum weight), but I liked the hands-free option. If you are looking for the same info as me, this works great for small dogs over 15#. I have a Chihuahua/Shiba Inu mix ("small" but not "very small" or "toy breed"). I can only use shock settings below 20 - 10 works very well but of course my dog is quite cold. The speakerphone is amazing. I'm always doing a million things, so that's really helpful. Before that, I bought a cheap collar, but the sale was so long that it ended up confusing her more than anything else. My only complaint is that the vibrate function is too weak to do anything useful. My dog doesn't even notice and she's quite small. It would be great if I could just use vibration, but with this collar that's just not possible. /Also, I just want to reiterate: the vibrate function sucks. DO NOT buy if you want vibration as an effective alternative. My dog is VERY SMALL, he doesn't react at all. I've tried it on myself and it's barely noticeable.
