Review on All-Clad LTD 9-Piece Cookware Set: Nonstick Fry Pan Included! by Amy Johnson

Ideal investment for the kitchen

I've always thought All-Clad LTD cookware was pretty, but I also thought it was quite expensive and wasn't sure if it was worth the price. But I received this 9 piece set as a gift and I am now a firm believer in using quality cookware. I can't imagine cooking with anything else. It's definitely more cost-effective to get a kit, and it comes with the parts that most people will use. Or it could be a good starter kit. These pots and pans are an investment and will last a lifetime; you will pass them on to your offspring! That's why they're not that expensive. The 3 liter pan I use the most is the most versatile of them all. I use it for frying and love the edges of the pan that keep the liquid from spilling out. The 9 piece set I received had a 10" sticky pan instead of the nonstick included in that set. gotta admit. that I rarely use a 10" pan and always choose a 3 quart pan instead. But it would be the perfect pan for making an omelette. The 6L pot is perfect for making pasta (my main use) and making large dishes like cassoulet and chicken cacciatore. It seems a little big for these dishes, but it's perfect for me because I cook a lot and the sides of the pot prevent spills. The 2 and 3 liter skillets are versatile for reheating soups, making sauces, vegetables and smaller portions of everything. I also use a 2-quart pan as an oil warmer (because I just can't justify getting an all-clad oil warmer). These pieces look great on the stovetop. They're a bit heavy, but you can get used to them. They are oven safe; I never thought this was an important feature until I used a 3 quart cake tin and 6 quart pan to put the finishing touches on my cassoulet. They are easy to clean. And they definitely make cooking more enjoyable.
