When I bought a new bed I didn't expect the adjustable base to be so short! The skirt of my bed was in a puddle on the floor. I don't store anything under my bed but it's a shelter so I need a skirt. I put 4 blocks under the legs 2 times but it still wasn't enough to get the skirt off the floor and every time I bumped into the bed the legs slipped over the wooden blocks. These 3" risers are perfect for the adjustable base purchased from Rooms To Go. The riser set includes foam pads for the top of the risers - a rigid foam set and a slotted foam set for beds with caster legs. I don't use either as the bed moves a bit when adjusted up and down. The risers also come with a set of foam inserts on the bottom of each riser to protect the floor. I don't use them either as I have carpet on the floor - again the bed shifts a bit when I adjust it and I sometimes have to put it back in place. In short, this set covers all the bases! I am very happy with this purchase.
