Review on Black Universal Flames Design License Plate Frame by Bell Automotive, Model 22-1-46168-8 by Sam Simone

I bought this frame to match the flamed side mirrors I have on my Manx clone. The framework is solidly built, but as others have said, in CA the required tags are partially obscured by the framework. Another thing I didn't like was the lack of fasteners from the bottom of the frame for the plate. Most frames either have holes for attaching a pair of screws, or at least have a flange that the plate must pass under before the top screws are attached. If used as is, I see a potential problem as the plate will vibrate, and that's a big reason for a frame that makes the plate stiffer (and more attractive). I plan to fix this before I mount the plate using JB Weld to attach a couple of plastic license plate screws that you can buy at most auto parts stores. When I wrote this review, buyers felt remorse as they reread my comments. !
