Review on Apdo Incubator Automatic Temperature Incubators by Michael Schafer

I have read many reviews on this particular model of incubator and this is my conclusion based on my personal experience and the ones I have read about. This is NOT an incubator you will professionally hatch things from. That should go without saying, but apparently it isn't. You will not have 100% payout speed and it is unlikely that you will ever get it. This model tends to vary with its heat dissipation, the way I dealt with it was to keep the styrofoam it was packaged in and modify it to be the device with the styrofoam around it could operate. I've attached a picture of my current setup. I also have a digital thermometer/hydrometer that syncs with my phone so I can monitor the temperature and humidity from wherever I have my phone. Some people have complained that it doesn't hold moisture, although that wasn't my problem. I live in a humid region and am a "dry hater" which means I keep the humidity around 30% for the first 2/3 of the process and can do this for the first week even without adding water and I am confident that styrofoam will help. I LOVE the built in candle light. I really wish it could switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, but that's no big deal. I will buy more. My withdrawal rate with this machine is consistently around 80-100%, although 100% is rare. 😉To summarize, if you're a hobbyist incubator, a backyard chicken lover, or a small home resident, then this incubator is for you (subject to change). If you want to start a chicken farm, buy an incubator cabinet. ♥️
