The day after I received this it was about 40F here and I went to tighten some nuts. Turned off about every 1-2 minutes. And that's while in use, not idling and waiting for a 3-minute auto shut-off. Bring it in and let it warm up a bit. Pulled it back onto the road, loosened about 2.5 nuts and it started shutting down again. I'm not sure if this unit or the batteries can't take the cold. I suspect the batteries are the issue as it mostly shuts off as it nears torque and the alarm sounds, plus the display backlight is on. Maybe some better CR2032 will solve this problem. 2032 are not rated for high discharge rates beyond their normal operating temperature. These are mainly watch/CMOS batteries. It would probably be better if Durofix used a different type of battery. Obviously this could mean different/bulky case sizes. But either way, it's easy to use as far as simple torque goes, and fairly accurate. Tested within a few pounds of a really expensive torque wrench I borrowed after suspecting the cheap wrench I had was very, very far. And it was a lot, so I couldn't trust him. 15 lbs under torque spec on lug nuts = not good.
