When you purchase a gamepad from Microsoft, you have the right to expect that it will work well with Microsoft's operating system. Yet, if you do not have Windows 10, you should get ready to deal with a wide variety of issues. After making the purchase, I hastily connected the gamepad to my computer via the microUSB cable so that I could test it out, and at first, everything worked properly. On the other hand, it was discovered that certain games, such as GTA V (!), do not recognize it. The emulation application for the Xbox 360 gamepad proved to be the key to its resolution (a program for cheap Chinese gamepads that are poorly supported by games, well, as I understand it). The fact that it can be accessed via the emulator means that it is already of high quality, but the alarm should be silenced. The next step is where things get interesting: I decided to connect using Bluetooth since, if I didn't, I wouldn't have any use for a controller whose name includes the word "wireless." When I make an attempt to connect, the device recognizes me, and when I press the "contact the device" button, it requests a PIN code and explains how to enter it. Without entering a PIN, you won't be able to connect. I seek assistance from Microsoft, and while I'm there, I learn an intriguing fact: it seems that connecting a gamepad to Windows 8.1, Windows 8, or Windows 7 via Bluetooth is not supported in any of those versions of Windows. So you're saying that the Microsoft gamepad is incompatible with the Microsoft system? Cool. They propose a purchase of an adapter for $25 to be made. But I didn't want to give up that simply, so I looked for a solution to the problem. In Mike's forums, remedies such as "purchase an adapter or use a cable, reload the drivers," and other really helpful tips are marked as the "best answer." Yet, I was unable to locate anything that was understandable on those sites. However I did eventually piece together some information, and by some stroke of luck I was able to connect the gamepad without entering a pin number, so cheers to that! Or not. Following the establishment of the connection, the connection is immediately severed. :) On the official Microsoft forum, there are also clever tips from users of the level "do not play at night, turn on the light in the room" - an outstanding community, what else is there to say? A diode on the Xbox button that blinds at night, like a flash drive from KSki and which, apparently, cannot be turned off deserves a separate review. It is up to you to determine whether or not you require such difficulties in your life. I've heard reports that the controller is performing exceptionally well. ;)
